Up Up and Away Awesome Jersey Shore Feathered Friends
Welcome to my collection of some of my favorite “feathered” friends that I have had the good fortune to photograph here in my backyard… the Jersey Shore. Now I saw my “backyard” but I didn’t take it all literally in my own backyard lol but some actually did. If you like birdwatching you know how addictive it can be and we are always looking to spot a new, never-before-seen variety. One of the most amazing photo ops was the snowy owl pictured above, which I traveled to Island Beach State Park and walked the beach for a few miles trying to find. Then myself and a group of other bird enthusiasts sat down, from a comfortable distance, and photographed this wonderful bird as it flew through New Jersey for a visit…beautiful bird.
Another bird, I love them all, I want to highlight it is the Great Horned Owl. I spotted this feathered friend in a strange place along the bay of Little Egg Harbor. Best known for its forests and inland wooded areas, this owl was enjoying a day at the beach. I was amazed to see him in the swamp and had the chance to take a photo before he headed home. He is pictured below
