Holly from Battle Creek is a beautiful girl looking for her home
Holly is a beautiful dog with an equally lovely personality and would be a good fit in many types of homes.
Holly is just over 3 years old and an adult. She weighs around 30 pounds and seems to be house trained already. Holly is well past the puppy stage, and Humane Society of South Central Michigan (HSSCM) staff say she’s a pretty laid-back girl.
Holly is not a dog that would enjoy regular 5 mile hikes. In general, she seems like a dog who would be content to lay down next to you on the couch after a good run in the yard or some time spent playing with her.
Holly is listed as a Collie/Spaniel to mix together. So far at the shelter, her personality has been calm and patient. Holly walks well on a leash. It would be best suited to a fenced yard but may not require it.
Holly can do well with another dog that has a similar energy level. She would do best in a home with children 8 or older who are animal friendly.
One of the benefits of adopting a dog after the puppy stage is that he won’t chew your shoes. You also know how big they will grow, aside from a few extra pounds depending on how much and how often you eat. Their personalities are usually defined that way. However, you can see a shelter dog’s personality blossom once they have the safety of their forever home.
