Cute Fairhaven dog hopes to put a smile on his whole family’s face

Happy Wednesday wet nose!

Wednesdays are all about pets for adoption on the South Coast, and there’s sure to be plenty to choose from. Each week, we like to spotlight one lucky animal in hopes of uniting them with the perfect family. This week we are heading to Fairhaven where a little dog with a big heart waits patiently.

Meet Max, a 5-year-old Australian mini who resides at the Fairhaven Animal Shelter in Fairhaven. He may be 5 years old, but he has the energy of a puppy.

“He gets a little nervous when he meets someone, but after getting to know you, he’ll be your best friend,” the shelter said.

Over his five years, Max has learned a few quirks. He doesn’t like to be touched while eating, but honestly, who does? The shelter recommends older children because of this.

He’s also “dog-selective,” so the shelter will need to meet any other dogs in the house to make sure Max is a good fit.

Max loves chasing toys but doesn’t like fetching them. You can expect Max to bring lots of energy and love to your household. He will be the ideal companion.

He was just neutered last week, so all that remains is to reunite him with his family forever.

Is Max right for you and your family? Contact Fairhaven Animal Shelter, like them on facebook and schedule a play date today.

If SouthCoast Dogs had a dating app it would look like this

August 26 is International Dog Day and that got me thinking. What if there was a way for dogs to connect with other dogs in the area to make new friends? Or maybe even find love? Twenty-six dogs living on the south coast sent me their profile picture and bio. Let’s see the eligible puppies.
